Root 'n' Branch Acres
aboutThe Venue
Seedling Productions moved to Root 'n' Branch 6 years ago.
Opening the following year, Seedling's aim was to transform this piece of neglected ancient woodland & parkland into a new
bio-diverse recreational site.
To Seedling Farm
Seedling's director Alex wanted to have the animals included more in her teaching elements and the site gave designer Mick the perfect blank stage canvas to sculpt a place of magic in nature.
The first few years concentrated on restoring the pasture and wildflower meadows, reclaiming the brook and clearing the mature and young woodlands on site allowing light in and foliage and fawn to flourish.
The last couple of years have seen continued improvements to the facilities on site including the new toilet block and recreational room with kitchenette. Living fences and budding fruit trees now line the drive and an innovative Sensory Sound Garden is being installed by a graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire of Music.
The animals have played a huge role at Root 'n' Branch Acres and as well as allowing us to show children and adults alike the process of their meat, eggs, milk and wool they help make Root 'n' Branch Acres the venue it is with their riding lessons, agility course work, historic displays and SEN education work.
To meet all our animals, including newest members Mrs Squiggles and Mrs Jiggles please visit our Seedling Farm page.
