TRAUMA INFORMED PRACTICE COURSES
Seedling offer Trauma Informed Practice Courses for staff in all care and childcare sectors as well as for HR/ Managerial departments.

Led my Mick Collins an expert in ACEs Awareness and International TIP Key Note Speaker this course brings together all aspects of Trauma Informed Practice with a 'Join-up Thinking' Approach and based in Compassion Focused Education.

HISTORIC CURRICULUM DAYS
Interactive historic learning days for classes or whole year groups covering all Key Stage 1, 2 & 3 curriculums in an exciting and awe inspiring environment. Topics include; Countrylife, Stone-age, Iron-age & Bronze-age, Anglo-Saxons, Romans and Historic Crime & Punishment.

OUTDOOR ACTIVE LEARNING
Children and especially those with special needs learn in a different way when outdoors in nature. Our OAL schemes cover all key skills during practical sessions. Projects include; making miniature dwelling in our fairy woodland, identifying plants and wildlife in our wildflower paddocks and taking part in literacy and numeracy games in our activities meadow. Sessions start from 1 hour and are accessible to up to 10 students depending on ability.

EDU-LARP- age 5 to adult
Edu-LARP (Educational Live Action Role Play) is a fun, innovate and creative way for participants to learn all key skills and communication. Adopting characters and working both individually and in teams, the participant will tackle problem solving, cultural difference, physical tasks and negotiation skills in a safe learning environment.

ENVIRONMENTAL SOUND THERAPY
Students work to create soundscapes within our purpose designed sound garden. The sessions explore music, maths, outdoor learning and storytelling in a creative outdoor learning environment.

FOLEY SOUND EXPLORATION- age 10 to adult
Students work to create sound effects for film and movie clips. The sounds are created in our purpose designed sound garden and using the natural environment. The students will learn theoretical concepts, create, record and edit sound clips. At the end of the course student will be able to take their edited clip with them.
Sessions can be booked for individuals or small groups.

ANIMAL ASSISTED ACTIVITIES/LEARNING
Children and adults alike work with a variety of animals with our specialist staff. All our animals are carefully selected to work with the individual student or group.
AAA/ AAL has many benefits from helping with outdoor exposure through to behaviour changes. It has also been shown to help Dementia and ADSD sufferers with restless afternoons and help with sleeping patterns and calming behaviours.

ANIMAL CARE (inc. SEN)- age 5 to adult
Students learn about a variety of animals big and small, take part in practical activities based both around their care and safe handling activities with our experienced, qualified staff. Literacy and Numeracy are also covered in each session. Sessions start from 1 hour and are accessible to up to 12 students depending on ability.

RIDING LESSONS- age 3-7
Children's Riding Lessons- 20 to 45 minute sessions depending on age and ability. Children meet and groom Magic the Pony then have a one-on-one riding lesson including fun games, songs and balances. Group booking for up to 3 children available.

EQUINE-ASSISTED ACTIVITIES- age 18+
Equine-Assisted Activities are offered to adults who need some relaxation and self-care time in a supportive environment.
Activites can include therapeutic grooming, energy control through groundwork exercises, balance and stability in life through exercise and Chakra work, fun and laughter through games and tasks with your horsey partner.

SHEEP SHEARING COURSES
Held in May, our traditional sheep shearing courses demonstrate the skill of catching and handling the sheep and the art of hand shearing and the rolling of the fleece ready for teasing and spinning. Using Traditional Black Leicestershire Longwools over 16's attending can then have a go a shearing with the help of our animal handlers. BTEC-LAND BASED STUDIES
Seedling offer BTEC Land-based Studies for students age 14-25 however younger students link to alternative provisions for education can also follow this line of study building skills and evidence towards future qualifications.
Land-based Studies looks at the range of industries that serve land use from Farming, Tree Surgery and Horse Care though to Wildlife & River Conservation.
Students can study for the Award, the Certificate or the Diploma depending on their funded hours, learning ability and further education & careers pathways.
